Gear Up For Hawks Basketball

Magic Snap Hawks Homecourt Winning Streak

Ok, so the Hawks are now 7-1 at home this season, thanks to a Thanksgiving day loss to the Orlando Magic.

Too stuffed with turkey to watch the game? Here’s a brief recap: Hawks had a 14 point lead at some point during the first half; Hawks coach Mike Woodson didn’t adjust at halftime; Orlando coach Stan VanGundy challenged Dwight Howard to play better (according to Magic backup PG Anthony Johnson); Hawks lose by 17.

Hawks were held to only 25 points in the second half and even panicked by throwing up threes (and missing them) to try to get back into the game.

What happened to the Hawks poise and confidence? They get behind a little and panic? That only made things worse. What was Coach Woodson telling these guys? He wasn’t telling them to rebound and block shots, cause if he was, they didn’t listen.
